Call History
Every logged call with your leads, grouped by day, searchable by name or number, with a count of calls tracked.
Call tracking for real estate agents
Boring CRM logs calls with your leads on Android, so every lead shows when you last spoke, whether they picked up and what's next. Tap Call in the app and pick the outcome, or turn on automatic detection and calls with leads are logged even from your phone's own dialer.
Why it matters
Your phone's call log knows you rang a number. It doesn't know that number is a buyer for a 3 BHK, that they asked for a callback on Saturday, or that this was your fourth try.
Most lost leads aren't lost to a competitor's better offer. They're lost to a callback nobody made. An agent juggling dozens of enquiries can't remember whether Ravi answered yesterday or went to voicemail, so the next call is either too soon, too late, or never.
A call log CRM fixes the memory problem. When each call sits in the lead's timeline next to remarks, status changes and follow-ups, you can see the whole story before you dial. "No answer twice, WhatsApp sent, try Saturday morning" is a plan. A list of numbers in your recent calls is not.
Logged outcomes also keep you honest about effort. Many leads only answer on a later attempt, so a written record of tries stops you giving up after one. Pair it with a real estate follow-up schedule.
Two ways to log calls
Both work offline and keep call data on your phone. Use one or both.
Works on every Android phone. No special permission beyond placing the call.
Optional. Uses Android's call screening ("Caller ID & spam") role.
Setup
It takes under a minute. You can turn it off again the same way.
Want to stop? Turn the switch off, or pick a different caller ID & spam app in your phone's default apps settings.
Honest limits
Call screening is a privacy-friendly Android feature, which is exactly why it has gaps. Here's the full picture.
| Situation | Logged? |
|---|---|
| You tap Call in Boring CRM | Yes, with the outcome you pick |
| You dial a lead from the phone's dialer, detection on | Yes, automatically |
| A lead calls you, detection on | Yes, automatically |
| The lead's number is also saved in your phone contacts | Not detected. Use the in-app Call button |
| WhatsApp voice or video calls | No |
| Calls with numbers that aren't leads | Never stored |
| Call recordings | No, the app doesn't record calls |
Boring CRM doesn't read your full call log. A practical tip: if automatic logging matters more to you than seeing the name on incoming calls, don't save every lead to your phone contacts. Boring CRM already shows the lead's name, project and history in the app.
Where calls show up
Logged calls appear in three places, so you're never hunting through your phone's recents.
Every logged call with your leads, grouped by day, searchable by name or number, with a count of calls tracked.
Open a lead to see every call with that person, with outcomes, before you dial again.
Calls sit alongside remarks, status changes and follow-ups, so the next step is obvious.
Once a week, open Call History and scroll back through the last seven days. Look for leads with two or three "no answer" outcomes and no reply since. Those are the ones slipping away quietly. Send them a WhatsApp, try a different time of day, and set a fresh follow-up.
Then check the opposite: Hot leads you haven't called at all this week. A gap in the log is often the first sign a good lead is about to go cold. For a fuller routine, see how to manage real estate leads.
Call logging is one part of a follow-up system. See how it fits with reminders in never miss a follow-up, with WhatsApp in our WhatsApp CRM for real estate, and with speed-to-lead in how to respond to leads fast.
Questions
No. Boring CRM does not read your full call log. Calls are logged in two ways: when you tap Call inside the app and pick an outcome afterwards, or, if you turn on Detect calls to leads, through Android's caller ID and spam role, which only stores calls with numbers saved as leads.
Detection doesn't work for leads whose numbers are also saved in your phone contacts, because Android doesn't pass those calls to the caller ID and spam app. WhatsApp calls aren't detected either. For those leads, call from the Call button in Boring CRM and pick the outcome when you return.
Android lets only one app hold the caller ID and spam role at a time. If another app has it, choosing Boring CRM replaces it. You can switch back in your phone's default apps settings whenever you like, which also stops automatic detection.
No. Boring CRM is an Android app, and call logging relies on Android features. There is no iPhone, web or desktop version.
No. Boring CRM doesn't record calls. It logs that a call happened with a lead, when, and the outcome, so your follow-up history is complete.
